Building Green

WSF Construction was building green before it was a requirement. We always consider how to site the home on the property for best solar gain in all seasons, exceeding insulation standards for weather and noise, and using sustainable materials whenever possible.

"I was so very lucky to find WSF Construction for my MAJOR home remodel project. From the very first design meetings to the final construction walk-through, the experience was joyful and fulfilling! Warren made suggestions to include different design elements that I never thought of that enhanced the final outcome. My new home takes advantage of the southern exposure and the beautiful ocean view which was totally lacking in my bungalow. Additionally, the layout and spatial proportions combine in such a way to give my home a warm cozy feel even though every room in my house is now significantly larger. I really appreciated the skill and craftsmanship displayed by the crew. My new home gives me joy every day. I highly recommend WSF Construction for any residential design/build project!"

"Warren Fine transformed our kitchen with simple and masterful design. The window and barrel construction he envisioned and created for us opened up the space to allow for light, view and style to come through in a way that made a remarkable difference in the beauty and function of the space. Had we not enlisted Warren’s services, we would have ended up with a new version of the old kitchen. With Warren’s design and construction talent, we were able to turn something ordinary into something fabulous. Great return for the money!"

"When our adult son saw our remodeled home he said, 'Now you have a magazine house!' WSF Construction transformed our house from a 1980 ranch style home with separate, small rooms to an open, spacious gathering place for friends and family. While we had some ideas for what we wanted, Warren’s ideas and execution far exceeded our expectations. The entry way is now a light-filled space with interesting angles. The kitchen is eye-catching yet functional thanks to Warren’s planning and guidance with materials. Warren’s design for our bathrooms gave us more light, large showers and a clean, new feel. While we did not add any square footage, the overall effect of the remodel created the feel of a much larger and more unique space. We appreciate the changes on a daily basis and are as pleased now as we were then."

what we say

Warren Fine

Designer, builder and civil engineer with a hands-on passion for project delivery. My life’s work is about creating and building … my earliest memories are in my Dad’s workshop crafting something. My formal education at University of California, Berkeley, centered on engineering and architecture with an emphasis on structures. This was a time of study and exploration into the analytical and aesthetic expressions of form... later apprenticeships and study refined this aesthetic appreciation of analytical work with space and form.
